Brace yourselves, Untold is coming.
This year I am joining the #HMLovesUntold team and that means you’ll be able to watch me awkwardly trying to be social all day long at the Untold H&M stage. If that doesn’t sound fun enough, last year they had a pool filled with bubbles you could jump in. I’m pretty sure they’ll top it up somehow. But, alas, before we get to said festival, we need to pack, right? So here we are, I am going to share with you the ULTIMATE guide to packing.
Select a bunch of cool clothes
It’s a festival, after all, you cannot just go in your every day attire? A festival look is a festival look and by now, it has reached a holy status in popular culture. Preferably light layers, just in case it gets super warm cold during the night and it feels like the pits of hell during the day. Some ladies go for heels, yet I think it depends on how much you want to dare karma to pay back some of your mischiefs when you choose to combine heels + stones/grass. I’d rather not see how many of my choices have offended karma.
Fold ’em, let ’em, hit me, raise it baby stay with me
I think this one is pretty self explanatory, right? Right? Do you want us to make a folding tutorial?
(Try to) Shove them in a suitcase
After you’ve carefully folded them, prepare the suitcase for impact. Try to make sections, so you can pack efficiently. Also, try to only pack your essentials, it’s only for a few days after all, you don’t need two huge bags of makeup. After you’ve debated whether of not you need around 8 kgs of makeup at a festival, try to close the suitcase. The operative word here being try. In case the suitcase fails to close, no worries boo, I got you.
Only pack your essentials/the things that really matter
You could be as wild as to not pack any clothes at all. I’m sure you’re thinking that I’ve gone insane. I actually haven’t and my proposal for you is rather smart. I’m sure most of you are always going shopping for (more than) a thing or two before a festival. If you live in the same city, that’s cool, however if you live in the same city why the hell are you reading this article to begin with?! Why don’t you do this smart maneuver called blitzkrieg festival shopping (if you don’t get the reference get off the internet and go read a history book) and shop directly from the city the festival is in? Instead of carrying a super heavy suitcase all the way to another city, you can have a relatively light one and just struggle on the way back. Plus the great thing about store chains such as H&M is that you can find the same things in your city and any other city. Or, even cooler, maybe the festival city has a bigger H&M and you can find even more cool stuff.
